Make Your Own Lip Gloss

One beauty product that always makes me feel put together is a bright colored lipstick. I have several different colors laying around in my car, purse, and house. It’s something I hate being without. Even a subtle pop of color makes your lips feel and look great. What’s great about our DIY Tinted Lip Gloss, is you can customize it to the color and brightness of your choice. Just grab your favorite lip stick and head to the kitchen to create your own DIY Tinted Lip Gloss.

DIY Tinted Lip Gloss
Materials:

• Small beauty containers
• Beeswax Pastilles
• Sweet Almond Oil
• Lipstick of choice
• Glass measuring cup
• Wooden stir stick

The first thing I always do when making my own beauty products is make sure the area I’m working on is clean and sanitary. Which also means sanitizing my beauty containers with some paper towel and rubbing alcohol (If your using metal or tin containers you can boil them first).

Directions:

1. Measure out your 1 tablespoon of beeswax, 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil and scrape off a tiny bit of lipstick and place into your glass measuring cup and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
2. Pour your mixture into you clean containers and let set for about 30 minutes, they will harden at room temperature.
3. Place a small amount of the tip of your finger and rub onto your lips.

These also make great little gifts for teachers, friends, and family. Just make sure you use a new and awesome lipstick. Just place your tinted lip glosses in a small make-up bag with a great nail polish and file for an easy gift.
