Treat Yourself with This Relaxing Tea Foot Soak
Are you looking for a homemade foot soak for dead skin or cracked heels? Our DIY Relaxing Tea Foot Soak recipe uses epsom salt, essential oils and tea leaves to soothe and soften sore feet.
Before I had kids, my husband (before we got married) bought me a foot soak tub for Christmas one year. I loved that thing!
It was so nice to sit down and soak my feet after a long day. Of course I still wore heels back then.
Lately, I have been wanting to soak my feet more. I broke my big toe twice in just over a year. Then I broke another toe on the same foot last month.
Soaking my feet in warm water feels so soothing, especially when you add a few extra ingredients. Epsom salt is soothing and it can help soften that dead skin and cracked heels we tend to get in winter.
Tea leaves have great benefits for the skin too. It can help with acne, shrink pores, tone and moisturize dry skin while also tightening fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also really great for stinky feet. The tannic acid in tea is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, so it can reduce foot sweat and stink.
If you’re dealing with dry, cracked feet, you may also want to try our DIY Foot Scrub and Cracked Heel Balm recipes.
In addition to using this Relaxing Tea Foot Soak on your feet, you can also use it as a bath soak to give your full body the same benefits of the epsom salt and tea.
